Wigan man dies four days after assault

A man has died four days after he was assaulted in a neighbour's house in Greater Manchester.

Police were called to a disturbance at a house on Moresby Close, Leigh, Wigan in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers found the 62-year-old victim injured in a neighbouring property. He died in hospital on Saturday.

Police have arrested and bailed a man from Wigan on suspicion of assault. A post-mortem examination is due to take place later.
