Police were called to Wigan Road on Monday

A woman found dead in a back garden in Wigan has been identified by police.

Officers were called to a property on Wigan Road, Leigh, just after midnight on Monday.

The body of Elaine Flanagan was discovered. Her husband Thomas Flanagan, 57, was later arrested and then charged with her murder.
