A woman who died after she was hit by two taxis in Greater Manchester has been identified.

Police said Megan Hoskins was trapped underneath one of the taxis in Ormskirk Road, Wigan, at 00:45 BST on Sunday.

The 20-year-old from Wigan was freed by emergency service crews but died in hospital a few hours later, a Greater Manchester Police spokesman said.

Officers believe she was in the road after "an altercation" with a man when she was struck.

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter has been released on bail, police said.
