Former Manchester United and England star Gary Neville has added another honour to those he earned as a player by getting an honorary doctorate.
Neville received the award from the University of Salford within sight of his former club's home.
The England assistant coach received a doctor of science award from Salford Business School.
The award cited his work in eco-friendly building design and his Sustainability in Sport Foundation.
The organisation promotes green issues with sport.
After the ceremony he said: "Plenty of people in life say 'you can't', but graduates should just ignore them and go and make their own mark on life."
