Seven charged after Greater Manchester drugs raids

Seven people have been charged following raids across Greater Manchester, targeting suspected drugs' suppliers in an operation worth £300m.

Greater Manchester Police raided addresses in Altrincham, Prestwich, Salford and Bolton on Wednesday.

The charges include conspiracy to import and supply Class A and Class B drugs.

All those charged have been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester City Magistrates' Court on 4 July.

Greater Manchester Police said the raids followed a year-long investigation.
