Manchester firefighter death: Girl, 15, appears in court

A 15-year-old girl has appeared in court over a blaze in Manchester's Northern Quarter that killed a 38-year-old firefighter.

Stephen Hunt was among 60 firefighters called to the fire at Paul's Hair World, Oldham Street, in July.

The accused, who cannot be named because of her age, has been charged with arson with intent.

Appearing at Manchester Youth Court, she was granted bail and is now due at Manchester Crown Court on 11 July .
