Police release Ashley Brook pub shooting CCTV

Police investigating the shooting of a man in a Salford pub have released CCTV footage of a car and cyclist seen near the shooting scene.

Detectives want to trace a Honda Civic driver and a cyclist riding alongside it on 26 May near the Ashley Brook Pub on Liverpool Street at 23:30 BST.

A 49-year-old man was shot seven times and remains in hospital.

Six people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and released on police bail.

Two men aged 22, two women aged 47 and 23, a 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl have to report to police on 5 August.

Two men, wearing hooded tops and balaclavas, were seen going into the pub carrying guns and then left down an alleyway towards Knutsford Street.

Ch Supt Mary Doyle, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "A team of detectives are continuing to work tirelessly on this case and identify who is responsible."
