Man summonsed over taxi driver and passenger crash deaths

A man is due in court after two people died in a crash in Greater Manchester.

Taxi driver Kenneth Grimshaw, 59, from Leigh, died at the scene of the crash on Twist Lane, Leigh, on 30 November.

His passenger, Emma Houghton, 23, from Golborne, Wigan, suffered a fatal head injury and died that evening.

Dean Farrimond, 34, of Eden Grove, Leigh, is summonsed to Wigan Magistrates to face two counts of death by dangerous driving and one count of driving with excess alcohol on 30 June.
