'Unexplained' death of man in pond in Bramhall

Police are treating the death of a 20-year-old man whose body was found in a pond in Greater Manchester as "unexplained".

The body of the man, named locally as Lee Hagan, was spotted by a dog walker in the pond off Brent Moor Road, in Bramhall, on Monday.

A post mortem test is due to be carried out to try to establish how he died.

Specialist officers searched the water and inquiries are continuing, a police spokeswoman said.

Friends paid tribute to Mr Hagan on Twitter.

Gemma Carrigher wrote: "Poor lad. RIP Lee Hagan. Thoughts are with the family."

Jade Miles ‏wrote: "I cannot stop thinking about Lee Hagan. Poor boy. RIP."
