Tributes to Leigh taxi crash victims

A taxi driver who died in a crash in Greater Manchester was "a loving, devoted father", his family said.

Kenneth Grimshaw, 59, from Leigh, died at the scene of the crash on Twist Lane Leigh, in the early hours of Saturday.

His passenger Emma Houghton, 23, from Golborne, Wigan, suffered a fatal head injury in the crash with a Vauxhall Astra and died on Saturday evening.

Her family said she "was a young girl that loved life".

The 34-year-old man driving the Astra suffered serious leg injuries but has now been discharged from hospital, police said.

Officers are investigating how the crash happened and asking witnesses to contact them.
