Manchester 'good Samaritan' rapes injured woman

An injured teenager has been raped by a man who had offered to take her to hospital in Manchester.

The 19-year-old was walking along Moseley Road in Fallowfield, at about 06:00 BST on Saturday.

She had visible injuries following an unrelated incident, police said.

She was seen by a man in car, possibly a taxi, and he offered her a lift to hospital. Instead she was taken to Nutsford Vale Park, Levenshulme, where she was attacked, police said.

The offender is described as mixed race and aged 30 to 40.

He was about 5ft 10in (1.8m) of medium build, with short dark hair and spoke with a foreign accent.
