Manchester stabbing: Man dead and daughter injured

Police said they were "not looking for anyone else" in connection with the stabbing at the house

Two men are dead and a 13-year-old girl is critically ill after a stabbing at a house in Manchester.

Victim Robert Jackson, 41, was found with his daughter Ayeshea in Delta Walk, Moston, at 22:20 BST on Sunday.

A 34-year-old man suspected of killing him, named locally as Darren Gasper, died at about 01:00 after crashing a hijacked car into a pub, police said.

The teenager is in a critical condition in hospital with what are believed to be stab wounds.

Det Supt Simon Barraclough said police were trying to discover why the two men died and what happened to the girl.

"Obviously the community will be shocked as to what has happened but we can say we do not believe anyone else was involved and are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident," he said.

Police were called to Watfield Walk in Harpurhey after a man threatened a car owner with a knife and stole a vehicle.

A short time later, the vehicle was seen by police near Rochdale Road.

The man drove the car into the side of The Alliance pub as police approached. He died in hospital.
