Murder arrest after woman's body found in Greater Manchester

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a house in Greater Manchester.

The body was found in a house on Surbiton Road, Newton Heath, at 10.15 BST.

A 40-year-old man is being held by police for questioning. Officers said they do not believe there to be a threat to other members of the public.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish the cause of the woman's death.
