The death of a 19-year-old personal trainer in Salford is no longer being treated as suspicious, police said.
Officers had been investigating whether Travis Barber had been murdered after he was found dead at his home on Light Oaks Road on Sunday night.
A post-mortem examination found he died as a result of injuries which were consistent with accidental trauma.
Further toxicology tests will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
His mother, Louise Barber, paid tribute to him on behalf of his family.
"Travis was a beautiful boy in every way," she said.
"He was kind and considerate and loved his personal training and keeping fit.
"Travis loved music and playing the guitar and he was a wonderful son who was very much loved by his family, who are all devastated by his death."
Ch Supt Kevin Mulligan said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with this young man's family at this difficult time. Our officers are doing all they can to support them.
"We do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding Travis' death and a file will be submitted to the coroner in due course."
