Man dies after reports of fighting at Wythenshawe house

A man has died after being found unconscious in a house in Greater Manchester following reports of fighting, police said.

Officers were called to the house on Pembury Close, Poundswick, Wythenshawe, at 23.50 GMT on Sunday.

The man, in his late 20s, was taken to hospital and later died. A post-mortem examination will be held to try to establish the cause of death.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody for questioning.
