Bolton man charged over causing explosion

A man has been charged in connection with a blast in Bolton which left him with a serious hand injury.

Emergency services were called to Lea Gate, Harwood, after reports a man has suffered an injury to his hand on 13 January.

Martin Middleton, 26, of Hartfield Walk, Bolton is charged with causing an explosion likely to endanger life.

He was due to appear before Bolton magistrates on Saturday.
