Man charged with rape and robbery of Hyde woman

A 30-year-old man has been charged with raping and robbing a woman on New Year's Eve.

Colin Hollinshead, formerly of Market Street, Hyde, appeared before Tameside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

His case was sent to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court for a hearing on 13 February.

The victim was attacked in her home in Hyde, Greater Manchester and then forced to hand over cash and jewellery, according to court papers.
