Whalley Range: Murder probe over fatal attack

An 18-year-old man has died after he was attacked in a street in Greater Manchester.

Police said the man was attacked in Upper Chorlton Road, in the Whalley Range area of Manchester, just after 14:20 GMT.

Police found the injured man in the street but he died despite the efforts of paramedics to save him.

A police statement said enquiries are ongoing but the incident was being treated as murder.
