Bolton magistrate charged over fraudulent expenses claims

A Bolton magistrate has been charged with making fraudulent expenses claims.

Carlton Janson, 68, of Bradford Park Drive, The Haulgh, has been charged with two counts of obtaining property by deception and two of fraud by false representation.

The charges relate to £22,076 claimed in expenses between April 2006 and April 2011.

Mr Janson will appear before Trafford Magistrates' Court on Friday 7 December.
