David Short murder: Man charged over gun and grenade attack

A man has been charged by police investigating the murder of David Short, who died in a gun and grenade attack in Greater Manchester.

Mr Short, 46, was found dead at a house in Folkestone Road East, Clayton, after a blast was heard on 10 August.

Francis Dixon, 37, from the Stalybridge area, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and causing an explosion.

He is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates' Court later.

Dale Cregan, 29, and Anthony Wilkinson, 33, have already been charged with his murder.

Anthony Wilkinson, 33, of Beswick, and Jermaine Anton Ward, 24, have both been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Mr Wilkinson is also charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

All have been remanded in custody.
