Rochdale murder probe after man, 84, found dead

Murder scene Rochdale Police do not believe the man's death was an accident

A murder investigation has been launched after an 84-year-old man was found dead in a house in Rochdale, police have said.

The man's body was found by police at the house on Willows Lane, Milnrow, on Sunday evening.

A post-mortem examination has found that he died from head injuries.

Det Insp Iain Butler said the investigation was at an early stage, but said officers "do not believe this man's death was accidental".
