Bolton bingo hall held up by armed men

A bingo hall in Bolton was held up by two men armed with a handgun and a knife.

The robbers walked into the Mecca Bingo in Breightmet at about 19:00 BST on Sunday and threatened staff, demanding they hand over money.

A large number of people were in the hall at the time but no-one was injured, police said.

The men left with a large quantity of cash and police believe they escaped in a black Ford Mondeo saloon car.
