Flooding fears in Northwich as River Weaver level rises


Efforts are being made to protect shops and other properties in Northwich from flooding as levels of the River Weaver rise to dangerous levels.

London Road in the town centre has been closed and shops in the Cheshire town are being sandbagged.

The Environment Agency said Northwich Marina and Butcher and Barlow Solicitors were at risk.
