Boy, 13, critical after Failsworth factory fall

A 13-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after falling through a derelict factory roof in Greater Manchester.

He suffered significant head injuries in the fall to the factory floor, thought to be about 20ft (6 metres), on Mersey Road North, Failsworth, Oldham.

The boy, from the Failsworth area, was on the roof with friends when he fell at about 17:00 BST on Monday.

He is in an induced coma at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
