Radcliffe factory fire: Three arrested over arson

Three men have been arrested after a factory fire in Greater Manchester which led to 100 homes being evacuated.

At its height, 60 firefighters were tackling the blaze at the disused site on Bury Road, Radcliffe, on 23 August.

During the fire's early stages an explosion was reported after a gas main ignited. This caused part of the building to collapse.

The men, aged 26, 21 and 18, were all arrested on suspicion of arson by Greater Manchester Police.

A force spokesman said the 26-year-old has been bailed pending further inquiries. The two other men remain in police custody.

No-one was injured during the incident.
