Three people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Manchester city centre a week ago.

Three men were injured, one critically, in the incident in John Dalton Street at about 02:30 BST on 21 August.

A man, aged 22, and a boy of 17 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A woman, 24, suspected of assisting an offender, has been bailed.

A 28-year-old man, who received serious head injuries, remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

A 30-year-old man suffered a broken leg while a 32-year-old man received superficial injuries.

Greater Manchester Police believe the silver Vauxhall Corsa was driven at speed on the wrong side of the road before striking the men.
