Parents in court after death of baby boy in Bolton

Mohammed Ismail Six-week-old Mohammed Ismail died at Liverpool's Alder Hey Hospital

The father of a six-week-old boy from Bolton has appeared in court charged with his murder.

Shakeel Hussain, 25, from Balcary Grove, is also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

His wife Rabeel Malik, 22, is charged with the same offence following the death of Mohammed Ismail at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool on 7 January.

Mohammed had been transferred from the Royal Bolton Hospital. Both are due at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday.
