Parents charged after baby boy death in Bolton

Mohammed Ismail Six-week-old Mohammed Ismail died at Liverpool's Alder Hey Hospital

The parents of a six-week-old boy from Bolton have been charged in connection with the child's death.

Shakeel Hussain, 25, from Balcary Grove, Bolton, will appear in court later, charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.

Rabeel Malik, 22, from the same address, was also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

Mohammed Ismail was admitted to Royal Bolton Hospital on 5 January, after paramedics were called to his home.

They are both due to appear before Bolton Magistrates Court later.
