Man in court over Bolton stabbing death

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man found stabbed to death in Bolton.

Mark Wood, 28, was found with serious injuries in Ashton Street, Little Lever, at about 03:00 BST on 12 June. He died later in hospital.

A post-mortem examination found he died from a stab wound to the neck.

Ben Edgar, of Ashton Street, Bolton, appeared at Manchester Crown Court. He was remanded in custody until 23 August.
