Salford homes evacuated after police find devices

Homes in Salford in Greater Manchester were evacuated after police raided a flat and found two suspicious devices.

Bomb disposal experts were called to Grasmere Crescent in Winton to make the devices safe on Saturday morning.

A cordon was put in place and a number of houses evacuated as a precaution but residents were allowed home during the evening when searches were completed.

Two men and a woman have been arrested under the Explosive Substances Act and are being questioned.
