Smiths songs in Manchester Science Week experiments

A Smiths song some people might associate with science lessons might be Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now.

Scientists at Manchester Science Festival used tunes such as Panic and Hand In Glove as the titles for some classic experiments.

The show took place in Salford Lads Club, the scene of a the band's classic album cover for The Queen Is Dead

Dr Steven Rossington, from the University of Salford, and festival director Natalie Ireland said it was an attempt to bring science into everyday life.
