Doctor Who show, The Crash of the Elysium, hits Salford
The Crash of the Elysium, an interactive Doctor Who adventure created by theatre company Punchdrunk for Manchester International Festival, has thrilled young audiences in Salford.
Tom McRae, the show's writer and co-creator, told BBC the show was "exhilarating" and that the children who experience it would never forget the experience.
Show director Felix Barrett said it was "amazing to see the kids completely lost in the moment... absolutely captivated by saving the world and the doctor".
The show, originally conceived for audiences aged between six and 12, has proved so popular that performances specifically for adults have had to be added to its run at MediaCityUK.
