Bodies discovered in blazing shed

Two bodies have been discovered by firefighters tackling a blaze at a shed in Salford, Greater Manchester.

The badly burned corpses were discovered by crews responding to an emergency call at about 0550 BST in Higher Broughton.

Police said it had been impossible to determine the sex or age of the bodies.

Neighbours said the wooden shed off Griffin Street may have been used by people sleeping rough.

A joint fire and police investigation is under way to establish the cause of the fire, which completely destroyed the building, said fire service spokesman Paul Duggan.
