Eltham Road Part of Eltham Road was closed after the stabbing on Sunday evening

A 26-year-old man has been stabbed to death in south-east London after what police believe was an argument with two other men.

Police were called to Eltham Road in Lee at about 21:45 BST on Sunday.

The man, who has not been named, had suffered stab wounds to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder over the stabbing, police said. The teenage boy is in police custody in south London.

Insp Shaun Carre-Brown said: "Early indications suggest that the victim was involved in an argument with two males before being stabbed."

Police are appealing for witnesses. The man's next of kin have been informed.
