Man arrested in west London in Syria terrorism inquiry

A 23-year-old man has been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of raising money for terrorism in Syria.

The man was arrested in west London by officers from Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism unit. An address in south London was also searched, police said.

He was questioned at a police station in south London and bailed until a date in late September.

The man was arrested on suspicion of arranging funding contrary to Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
