Downham stabbing: Three men charged with murder

Three men have been charged with murder and conspiracy to rob after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in south London.

Police were called to reports of a fight in Downham on Sunday and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marcus El-Alfy, 18, Lance Slowley, 23, and Jordache Smith-Challis, 19, were remanded in custody and will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court later.

The victim has been identified as Afyon Saint-Hilaire from Bromley.

A fourth man, 23-year-old Mickyle Bromfield, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Mr El-Alfy is from Bromley, Mr Slowley, is from Thornton Heath and Mr Smith-Challis is from West Norwood.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as shock, haemorrhage and a stab wound to the leg.
