Croydon local boy turned England manager Roy Hodgson

Even as England manager Roy Hodgson prepares for their first World Cup match against Italy on Saturday night, he has not forgotten his south London roots.

He has coached dozens of clubs and countries across the world - but his first job was as a PE teacher - in his home town of Croydon.

BBC London reporter Sara Orchard spoke to Hodgson's school friend Steve Kember and Richard Houghton, the assistant principal and PE teacher at Quest Academy.
