Chanel handbags worth thousands of pounds each have been stolen during a ram-raid at the luxury brand's west London store.

Thieves drove a stolen Audi Q7 through a window at the front of the shop in Brompton Road, Chelsea, in the early hours of Good Friday.

Three men got out of the vehicle and stole a number of bags and other items before fleeing in another car.

The Metropolitan Police has not revealed the value of the stolen goods.

A spokesman for the force said no-one was hurt during the raid and urged anyone with information about the raid to contact officers.
