Cyclist dies in 'hit-and-run' crash with car in Clapham

A cyclist who suffered serious injuries after what police said was a hit-and-run crash in south London, has died.

Twenty-six-year-old Leon Richards was taken to hospital after the crash on Friday in Clapham Manor Street. He died on Saturday.

The car, a black BMW 5 series with black tinted windows, did not stop at the scene but carried on north on Clapham Manor Street, police said.

No arrests have been made and officers are appealing for information.

Prior to the crash the car was seen in Clapham High Street, police said.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Tuesday.
