Three men who were arrested after a man was injured in a drive-by shooting on London's Waterloo Bridge have been released on bail.

The 22-year-old was treated for head injuries after a gunman on the back of a motorbike opened fire on a Ford Focus travelling over the bridge on Friday.

The man was discharged from an east London hospital on Saturday.

Three men, aged 22, 23 and 24, who were arrested on suspicion of firearm offences have been bailed until May.

'Motorcycle fleeing area'

Scotland Yard's Trident gang crime unit is investigating the shooting.

A spokesman for the Met Police said detectives were keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the shooting or saw the motorcycle fleeing the area.

He added: "Three men were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and taken to various police stations.

"They have been bailed to return on a date in early May pending further enquiries."
