Pair charged over passport fraud

Two men have been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service Counter Terrorism Division in connection with the alleged fraudulent use of a passport.

Nabeel Hussain was arrested at Stansted Airport on 23 September. It is believed he was attempting to fly to Turkey.

Michael Diamantis has been accused of providing "the means for Nabeel Hussain to leave the country by purchasing a plane ticket in another name".

Mr Diamantis has been charged with fraud by false representation.

The pair will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 20 February.

Rebecca Mundy, specialist prosecutor for the CPS Counter Terrorism Division, said the arrests were made following an investigation by the Met Police.
