Man's body found after Croydon house fire

A man's body was found by firefighters called to a house fire in south London.

Firefighters were called to Addiscombe Court, in Croydon, just after 11:30 GMT where crews found the body of a man in the bedroom on the ground floor.

London Fire Brigade said the ground floor of the terraced house was damaged by the fire which was brought under control within 25 minutes.

A spokesman said the cause of the fire was being investigated.
