Police community officer hit by car on duty in Kingston

A police community support officer is in hospital after he was hit by a car while responding to a burglary call in Kingston, south-west London.

He was struck at about 17: 15 GMT by a VW Polo in Chesfield Road.

Police said he remained on the bonnet of the car before falling from the vehicle in nearby Staunton Road.

He has minor injuries. No arrests have been made.
