£600,000 of cash and jewels seized in London

Cash and diamonds worth a total of £600,000 have been seized in London as part of an operation to tackle an international organised crime gang.

The National Crime Agency said the money and jewels were found in safety deposit boxes during dawn raids on the group's money laundering arm.

Addresses in Spain, Bulgaria and South Africa were also targeted by police officers.

Seven people from London and a man from Hertfordshire have been arrested.
