Lenny Henry has won the Critics' Circle Theatre Award for best actor for his role in August Wilson's American drama Fences.

The play won a Pulitzer Prize in 1987 and is considered one of the great American dramas of the 20th Century.

Henry said: "I love the idea of using everything I have learnt from comedy to transplant into what I know in drama."

BBC London's Alice Bhandhukravi spoke to the comedian about being honoured by top theatre critics.
