Crane collapses on Ealing building site

A crane driver has been treated for shock after a crane collapsed in west London, London Fire Brigade said.

A spokesman said the brigade was called at about 15:30 GMT and three fire engines were sent.

The crane was in Longfield Avenue at the Dickens Yard development in Ealing Broadway.

London Ambulance crews were also sent. There were no injuries, a spokesman said.

A spokesman for the developer St George said: "The company is investigating the matter but cannot speculate as to the cause at this stage."
