An empty grave was found in the back garden of a west London house where a man was found dead, police have revealed.

Zbigniew Michniewicz, 36, of Greenford Road, Greenford, was discovered inside the house where he lived on Thursday.

The Metropolitan Police said they found the grave on the same day but only released this detail on Sunday.

Neighbours who may have seen something suspicious taking place in the garden have been urged to contact the force.

Three-man fight

A man, 20, has been charged with conspiring to prevent the lawful and decent burial of a body. He is due before Westminster magistrates later.

A 17-year-old girl, who was arrested at the home in connection with the death, has been bailed.

Anyone who saw a fight between three white males outside 251 Greenford Road on an evening two or three weeks ago have been asked to contact the force.

They have also urged anyone who saw people visiting the property recently to get in touch.

Post mortem tests have been held but the cause of death has not yet been released.
