Forest Drive crash: Pedestrian hit by stolen car dies

A man has died after being hit by a stolen car as he walked along a pavement in east London, police said.

The man, 52, was walking in Forest Drive, close to Manor Park station, when he was hit by a blue Ford Focus on Wednesday.

The car, which had been reported stolen from the area, was found nearby and a man, believed to be the driver, fled.

The victim's next of kin have been told but a formal identification has yet to take place. No arrests have been made.
