Calls for action over cycle deaths in London

15 November 2013 Last updated at 14:07 GMT

Pressure is mounting on London Mayor Boris Johnson to take urgent action to deal with the number of cycling deaths on London's roads.

The family of Venera Minakhmetova, the fourth victim to die in nine days, says her death must lead to changes.

On Thursday, the mayor suggested cyclists are partly to blame because of decisions they were taking which "put their lives in danger".

BBC London's Transport Correspondent Tom Edwards spoke with cycling campaigner Mark Ames.
