Fire at industrial site in Upper Edmonton

Up to 100 firefighters have been tackling a blaze at an industrial estate in north London.

London Fire Brigade, which was called just after 03:00 GMT, said a fire broke out in row of industrial units in Advent Way, Upper Edmonton.

Fifteen fire engines were at the site, which is close to the the A406 North Circular Road.

The fire was brought under control at 08:00 but crews remain at the site. There are no reports of injuries.

LFB station manager John Tovey, who was at the scene, said: "As well as 15 fire engines we had two aerial appliances here, which are vehicles similar to cherry pickers, so we could tackle the fire from above as well as from the ground."

No roads or properties have been affected by the blaze, LFB said.

The cause is under investigation.
